On being sick

Fingers ache,
Joints shake.

Hairs hurt,
Feel like dirt.

Smarting eyes,
Groans and sighs.

Lumbar pain,
Hit by a train.

Sniffley nose,
Interrupted doze.

Flaming feet,
A chilly seat.

Muscle cramps,
Mosey like gramps.

Coated tongue,
A phlegmy lung.

Sick as a dog,
Throat has a frog.

Let me rest,
In my cozy nest!
