उन बिन मोरी बीती शाम ||
अजहू नाही आवे ||
कहां सुध बुध बिसरावे नादरंगीले श्याम || धृ ||

अंधियारी, कारी सांझ में,
व्याकुल जैसे चंद्र चकोर ||
कहां सुध बुध बिसरावे नादरंगीले श्याम ||१||

Explanation 

I watch the evening go by, without Shyaam (Lord Krishna). I am sure he is absorbed totally, with no sense of time or place!
The evening darkens into night and I wait, anxious, like the Chakor (a bird enamored by the moon) waits for the moon!
